Currently serving as the President and Founder of Starry Dome Productions, Inc., she graduated from Yale Law School with the highest honors. She is also a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (the Oscars Committee), the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts, and the Producers Guild of America.

In 1993, Ms. Ai Qiuxing established Warner Bros.' China operations, becoming the first Hollywood executive to hold a senior position in China. She introduced The Fugitive, China's first Hollywood revenue-sharing blockbuster. During her tenure as President of Warner Bros. China, Ms. Ai oversaw the preparation and management of the introduction and distribution of films such as The Matrix and Harry Potter series, among other major titles. As the head of production at Warner Bros. China, she pioneered deal structures and mechanisms that enabled the development, production, and distribution of Sino-foreign co-productions. She also produced many groundbreaking Chinese-language and co-produced films, including Turn Left, Turn Right directed by Johnnie To, The Painted Veil starring Edward Norton and Naomi Watts, Crazy Stone and Crazy Racer directed by Ning Hao, The Warlords directed by Peter Chan, and Connected directed by Benny Chan.

In 2011, Ms. Ai facilitated the establishment and staffing of Village Roadshow Pictures Asia (VRPA) and led the team in producing nine films over the subsequent six years. These included Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons (2012) directed by Stephen Chow, Say Yes (2012) directed by Chen Zhengdao, and the award-winning film Mountain Cry (2014) by young director Yangzi. Later, under the Perfect Village joint venture organized by Village Roadshow and Perfect World in 2017, released films included Bleeding Steel (2015) starring Jackie Chan, Shadow (2018) directed by Zhang Yimou, which won four Golden Horse Awards and four Asian Film Awards, the Hong Kong suspense thriller Guilt by Design (2019) starring Nick Cheung and Hans Zhang, and Send Me to the Clouds (2019) starring Joan Chen.

In 2021, Ms. Ai founded her independent production studio, Starry Dome Productions, Inc. The company's development projects include a feature film adaptation of Waste Tide by author Chen Qiufan, the animated film The Eight Immortals directed by Rob Minkoff, and a feature film based on the original screenplay Voyage by Oscar-winning screenwriter David Seidler (The King's Speech).
