Graduated from Yunnan University, studied script writing at Foothill College and Stanford University Continuing Education, seeking to enhance industry experience through courses and workshops. Zhang Ci has written and created scripts for five documentaries she filmed and produced, some in collaboration with co-authors. Among them, "Faith in Ailao Mountain" has a full length of 56 minutes and a script of over 14,000 words, written by Zhang Ci. This film won the "Best Family Story Award" at the World Independent Film Festival. "Chinese in Silicon Valley" is a documentary series about tech professionals and their entrepreneurial stories, consisting of 12 episodes. The first episode, titled "Strength," runs for 45 minutes, with the script written by Zhang Ci. The second episode, "Cohesion," was co-written by Zhang Ci and another author, Patric Yang. The documentary "Miguel's Psalms" was written by Zhang Ci and Zhang Qin, with a total of 4,000 words. It won the "Best Memorial Award" at the Vancouver Original IP Film Festival, was shortlisted at the Paris Short Film Festival, received the "Golden Angel Nomination Award" at the China-US Film Festival, won the "Best Character Story Award" at the San Francisco International New Concept Film Festival, was shortlisted at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival, and received a nomination at the North America International Film Festival. The documentary "Changes in Silicon Valley Over a Millennium" records the life changes of 10 individuals from different industries in Silicon Valley from 2000 to 2015. The script was co-written by Zhang Ci and her team. This year, Zhang Ci began a new project titled "The Fourth World." This script documents the lives of homeless individuals in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, London, Rome, and Zurich. The script was co-written by Zhang Ci and photographer Gong Jianhua. From 2024 to 2025, Zhang Ci's film company, Avo Media, will produce and distribute 15 vertical short dramas for multiple platforms. Zhang Ci's novel "14 Kinds" was generated into AIGC content by Qianqi Studio, and her latest project is a Dunhuang-themed sci-fi film produced using AIGC.
